Make vagina cupcakes, celebrate periods, vaginas, boobs and all the bits in between!

Saturday 2nd June, 12pm - 6pm

Feminist Library, 5 Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7XW

As part of International Women's Health Day (28th May) we are inviting you to join us at the Feminist Library for a day of talks, discussions, workshops and more in celebration of women's bodies, health and, yes, vaginas! We're teaming up with the fabulous Florence Schechter, the founder of the Vagina Museum, to create this day of appreciation and celebration.

We understand that all people experience their bodies differently and that not all women have periods, boobs or vaginas. Anyone is welcome to this event and to share their experience in an all-inclusive and non-judgemental environment.

In the first part of the day, we will be joined by Florence Schechter of the Vagina Museum, Jo Corrall of This is a Vagina, Melba Wilson and Sue O'Sullivan, long-time feminist health campaigners, Ann Rossiter, activist of Speaking of IMELDA, and Hibo Wardere, anti-FGM campaigner and writer, for a panel and discussion about all things women's health - periods, vaginas, boobs and the bits in between!

The second part of the day will be about getting informed about feminist health issues while supporting feminist projects - you'll be able to buy some feminist books on the topic, explore exhibitions on the Vagina Museum project and from FARSA, Polish Feminist Artivists Society, make badges, get goodies in support of Bloody Good Period and LIARC - London Irish Abortion Rights Campaign, talk one-to-one with a sex educator in a drop in session with Paula Wawrzynczyk, and join us for vagina cupcakes making and This is a Vagina workshops! The cupcake making session will launch the Feminist Library's sponsored vagina cupcake making parties. Groups round the country will be making vagina cupcakes to raise money for the Feminist Library and we'll be decorating the first batch this afternoon.

The Feminist Library is launching this new fundraising initiative to support our wonderful space, so we can continue to support all the great women's health and other projects that we work with! If you would like to organise your very own Vagina Day, we're here to help! Get in touch with us and we'll provide you with an info pack that will help you with organising it*.

All proceeds of the day go to great projects in support of women's health initiatives, so please spend/donate generously**.

Schedule of the day at the Feminist Library*:

· Panel & discussion: 12-2

· Break: 2-3

· Workshops, stalls & exhibitions: 3-5

· Next steps session: 5-6
